About MCSA

Since 1995, MCSA has created friendly, competitive football opportunities for Melbourne's culturally diverse communities.

Our purpose

Welcome people in. Keep football within reach.

Melbourne Chinese Soccer Association began with a goal: give young people, predominantly but not exclusively from Chinese cultural heritage, a place to play football in a friendly, competitive environment.

MCSA became an incorporated not-for-profit sporting organisation in 2006. Today, the association serves players from dozens of cultural backgrounds with support from volunteers, communities, councils, sporting bodies, schools, government and local businesses.

Our vision

Football where every community belongs.

We want to create socially cohesive, safe, affordable and inclusive football across Melbourne. Our priorities put people and access at the centre of the game.

  • Diverse communities

Support Melbourne’s multicultural grassroots communities, with opportunities for men, women and juniors to take part.

  • Connection through football

Help people stay active, make friends and feel connected in a safe, welcoming environment.

  • Fair access to play

Work with sporting associations and councils so communities can access the grounds and opportunities they need.

  • Football within reach

Keep community football affordable as pressure grows on fields and participation costs.
